Implants: Case #2

A lower 1st molar with a draining sinus tract from the distal root. The distal root had resorption and this was not a candidate for retreatment or microsurgery. The tooth was removed and the mesial root socket was filled with a bone graft. After 3 months of healing time a Straumann tissue level implant was placed and allowed to heal for 3 months. A crown was them made and the tooth is now in full function. The patient and his dentist were both very pleased with the results.
