CBCT Diagnosis

Patient referred for evaluation for persistent pain on a previously root canalled tooth. Maxillary second bicuspids have one canal ~90% of the times and 2 canals ~10 % of the times. The CBCT shows that only the lingual canal was treated and the buccal canal was missed.

This patient was a retired endodontist and had his tooth treated by a board eligible endodontist. He had persistent low grade pain to heat and pressure.
